The Great Lairig Ghru cuts its way through the mighty granite mountains called the Cairngorms, from Blair Athol in the South to the great Speyside plains in the North. Once a cattle drover's and smuggling route, it is today a beautiful walk way with a truly fantastic view from the head of the Lairig Ghru. The grandeur of the Spey valley can be fully appreciated in a sip of this fine Highland Single Malt which is rich and smoky on the nose and smooth in the mouth, with a touch of fruit and peat coming through on the finish. Truly a fine dram for the cold winter evening. This limited edition bottling was produced by Burn Stewart Distillers for Marks and Spencer under the 'St Michael' brand.
