Glenglassaugh 12 year old single Highland malt. Bottled late 70's or early 80's Iconic single malt from the Glenglassaugh distillery near Banff in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery was founded in 1875 but was closed for long periods. It was last closed in 1986 and opened again in 2008. The older malts from this distillery are rare and sought after. They are very complex whiskies and are best as single malts and are not in widespread use for blends. This edition is an easy going medium bodied malt with nutty, chocolate and tropical fruit overtones. It has a full and very interesting character. This is a collectors item which will only appreciate in value or for the connoisseur who is looking for something rare and different.
