Robert Burns 250th. Anniversary 18 year old single Malt. Benrinnes distillery. Bottled for Ayrshire Cancer Support to Celebrate the 250th. Centenary of the Birth of Robert Burns. In wooden presentation case. Bottle No,68 of 250. Benrinnes The Benrinnes Distillery is found at the foot of the Benrinnes mountain range about 3 miles from Aberlour. The Distillery has been around since 1835 and is the second Benrinnes distillery to sit on the site. The first distillery was destroyed by a flood in 1829. Benrinnes used to use a triple distillation process but stopped in 2007 and went back to the traditional two distillations. The distillery produces around about 2,500,000 litres a year and is owned by Diageo. It does not have an official single malt bottling but it can be found by some independent bottlers. House Style: Big, creamy, smoky, long. Restorative or after dinner.
