Details

Knockando 1977 season single malt. 12 year old . Bottled 1991. This is a vintage Speyside single malt from the Knockando(Little Black Hill) distillery in Moray, Strathspey. established 1898. Most of the Malt whisky from this relatively small distillery goes in to J&B Rare blend. There are not many of these great single malts around. This is a rare collectors item. Nose: Sweet and grassy but with a fresh fizz about it. Really quite light and grapey. Almost like very light white wine. Gentle citrus notes, lemon sherbet. Palate: Sweet toffee, vanilla and blood oranges. Strawberry bonbons. Extremely delicate. Finish: Disappears rather quickly but you’re never completely sure when it’s gone. Melt in your mouth vanilla. Slightly biscuity.
