Scottish Leader blended presentation edition in hexagon ceramic squat bottle made for Far East market. 25 year old blend by Ian MacMillan, master blender at Burns Stewart Distillers of Glasgow, Scotland. This is head and shoulders above most luxury blends on the market. Scottish leader was created in the late 19th. Century by Ross Bros.( blenders) limited of Dumbarton to celebrate Scotland as the world leaders in technology, innovation and entrepreneurialism. This whisky was designed to take it's place in the forefront of the scottish whisky industry and has been eminently successful in doing so. The nose is Hazelnut and toffee with floral strands and hints of sweet oak. The palate is balanced. Sweet/oak and spice. Finish is soft and lingering. This is now a collectors item which is rarely seen. In perfect condition in original hexagon gold coloured box. It comes in a beautifully crafted ceramic hexagon bottle featuring scenes from the scottish countryside and of course has the blue motive of the famous Scottish Leader Eagle. At the price it is the bargain of the year.
