Tomatin 30 year old single malt limited edition.Distilled 22/11/76. Matured in ex. bourbon hogsheads and finished in two Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts for 3 years. Bottled 22/10/07 from 1500 bottles. 49.3% vol. 70 Cl. Selected by distillery manager Douglas Campbell. In Black presentation case. The is a real classic. Colour of deep gold. Aroma of polished leather,fruitcake, oranges and cloves. Tastes of orange,spices, fruit cake like smooth vanilla cream sliding across the mouth. Finish is soft and biscuity but long on the palate. Lying on the edge of the Monadhliath mountains the highland distillery of Tomatin, the highest in Scotland draws it's pure, clear,sweet highland water from the close by Alt-na-frith burn burn. This is a family whisky proudly produced by the 25 families that work and live on the 140 acre site of this remote distillery. A whisky for the discerning drinker who can enjoy and savour one of the great experiences in life.
