This is a very rare example of the marriage between Macallan and Glenlivet working extremely well. In 1980 cask No. 12779 was opened and a small number of unique bottles were produced. This is number 54 which adds to its rareity value. This bottle came straight from the cask which cannot be said for others produced within the same year.
