Bruichladdie Second Edition fifteen year old malt is distilled in Islay, off the West Coast of Scotland. Master Distiller Jim McEwan has produced this amazing after dinner fifteen year old which in time will become as rare and sought after as the famous first edition.
Like Jim McEwan it is big hearted and amply reflects the ambience of Islay where the islanders are aware of the qualities that go to make this one of the great Islay whiskies.
It has the colour of pale straw mixed with honey and syrup.
It smells of flowers and fresh green apples, nectarines and candied oranges.
It tastes of Manuka honey, rich oil, oranges and fruit with a whiff of coastal air.
This is a whisky to drink sitting in a favourite arm chair on a winters evening or
after Sunday lunch.
It rapidly thickens in the glass after an hour or so when the rich syrup of the world famous chateau D'Yquem casks in which it is finished quietly seep into the senses with a warm satisfying glow
