Sought after first edition Bruichladdie fifteen Year old Islay Malt whisky. Voted Distillery of the year 2001 & 2003 , Bruichladdich have produced a series of fifteen year old malts following on the success of this the first bottling. Hand crafted by Jim. McEwan the master distiller who has managed to produce this profound and harmonious balance of fresh soft fruit, sweet oak and ozone. It has no artificial colouring and is not chill- filtered to allow a maximisation of the aroma as well as the depth and breadth of flavours. It is matured in 80% Bourbon and 20% sherry Aloroso casks It is light amber/gold in colour with fresh floral and dry apples scent. It has a medium balanced taste with hints of dried seaweed, barley,vanilla,honey, freshly cut orange peel and summer fruit salad. Spicy with a touch of smoke.
