Secret Stills whisky by Gordon & MacPhail,Elgin. Little doubt that it is Talisker 21 year old from Sky. Distilled April 1986. Bottled May 2007. Cask 1361/1363. First Fill Sherry casks. WITHOUT WATER: Nose: Some mulled fruit notes - prunes, figs and raisins. A hint of fresh mint emerges with some dark chocolate influences. Palate: A gentle spice - mouth warming, sweet with a defined sherried edge. Smooth with a subtle fruity note - blueberries. WITH WATER: Nose: Fresh - grassy notes, retains a hint of fresh mint. Some stewed fruits. Palate: Initial sweetness - marshmallow, a hint of ground pepper emerges and some citrus lingers. Body: Medium. Finish: Long and warming. Cask Type(s): Refill Sherry hogsheads. Whisky Style: Smooth with fruity influences.
