Tasting note from an online review;
Nose: Light, with a disticnt zestiness, crème anglaise, a delectable nuttiness creeps in.
Palate: Sweet with a pleasant softness.
Finish: Soft, dry cereal notes.
A dense, rich nose with honey, floral notes clearly finished off in a sherry cask. With Apricot being present especially with the addition of a little water. Dried apricots, dried pear. Sweetness and pear into finish.
General Tasting notes from online sources;
A rich autumn sunrise.
Initially a spicy aroma, then big heavy fruits, lovely sweet sherry emanating from the edges.
Silky smooth, light smokiness balanced with sweet golden syrup. The flavours swirl around your mouth, like a mini tornado bombarding your senses.
Fresh acorns to fully mature oak, fresh oak to light tannins.
This whisky has everything to offer. The balance is quite sublime for such an old whisky.
A rare opportunity to see all three of the first edition Hazelburn Triple Distilled single malts in one place.
These bottles will no doubt increase in value and, over time, possible as much as their sister whiskies at the Spirngbank distillery.
Glenfiddich SIngle Malt Whisky.
Glenfiddich is made today in exactly the same traditional way, and to the same exacting standards, as when it first ran from the stills in 1887, under the careful eye of William Grant.
Today, five generations later, the Glenfiddich Distillery is still owned and managed by the same independent family company.
