In 1980 J & G Grant, Glenfarclas Distillery in Speyside, distilled and laid down what was to become their signature Single Cask Strength 'Christmas Single Highland Malt'. over the years the masters of whisky at Glenfarclas slowly bottled these casks and released a single malt that the world had never seen before. This 23 year old which is 1 of only 607 ever bottled, is in our opinion the best of them all. The colours of the whisky are like no other and from the official tasting notes below we have no doubt that this is the perfect bottle to open this christmas. Nose: Sherry, fragrant wood, the winter excitement hits you in the first moment, hints of dates and figs. Taste: Malty, spice, full and energetic, hints of floral notes. Finish: Sherry, a hint of Christmas ginger, spices.
