Cragganmore 40 Year old single malt. From Gordon and McPhail's "Secret Stills" range. Distilled 1966 Bottled 2006. A special bottling from a distillery on the Ballindalloch Castle Estate in Speyside. From two sherry hogsheads no's 1450 and 1451 Distilled 25/5/66 and bottled in Elgin 2006. A limited Edition of 500 bottles. Colour..Light Gold Nose..Fragrant almost Floral, Custard Powder,Raspberries and Sultanas. Palate..Honey and Summer breeze. Cranberry Cheese and Custard trifle. Glazed cherries and cream. Finish..Long and mouth watering What can one say about a simply superb 40 year old Speyside malt. If you dare open this bottle it has to be for a very special occasion. Most would save this as a family heirloom. This is an almost unattainable bottle for the real collector.
